This webpage is the University of Guam's official source of information about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and includes UOG campus advisories, GovGuam updates, and important tips and precautions you can take to stay healthy. This website is updated regularly. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has the most up-to-date information about the status of the Novel Coronavirus in the United States.
The University of Guam continues to closely monitor the global outbreak of COVID-19. The situation is dynamic and rapidly changing, and notices are subject to change quickly. Thus, an over-abundance of caution is advised to safeguard yourselves, our University, and Guam and the region.

Public Health Emergency PCOR3 Directives for UOG
Please see the latest JIC Release with Executive Order 2020-24 relative to declaring Pandemic Condition of Readiness (PCOR) 3.
These plans were developed to outline the University's operational procedures during an islandwide shutdown like the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UOG community is taking measures to protect the community from the COVID-19 pandemic. To be effective, we all need to take personal responsibility for reducing the spread of the virus. It's especially important for us all to protect the elderly, the very young, and those with chronic conditions or impaired immune systems. It is also important not to panic, stay calm, and remain vigilant and prudent in all our planning and actions.
Everyone at UOG and in our community can take everyday preventative measures in the face of this public health threat by:
In light of the concerns and spread of COVID-19, effective immediately, ALL OFFICIAL TRAVEL IS SUSPENDED. Exceptions may be made by the appropriate vice president.
UOG employees and students SHOULD NOT travel to locations at Alert Level 3 and are strongly advised against traveling to or transiting through locations at Alert Level 2. It is highly recommended that all individuals consider the same for personal travel.
Should a travel authorization not be approved by UOG, employees and students still choosing to travel would be travelling on their own time, at their own costs, and at their own risks. Employees would be required to use personal leave.
If you choose to travel, please be aware that there is a chance that you may not be able to leave the country you are visiting and may not be able to return to Guam right away. This would depend on any changes to this evolving situation including alert levels, exposure to COVID-19, and changes to travel routes. In such cases, you should prepare a contingency plan for your travel.
The University advises checking the latest travel recommendations and risk assessment levels for certain countries at the following websites:
Beginning March 13, 2020, ALL EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS returning to Guam from off-island travel after visiting or transiting through any country, state, or territory with reported COVID-19 cases should observe a 14-day self-quarantine before returning to the campus. Upon arriving on-island, you could also be subject to any screening procedures in place by the government of Guam.
Even when the campus is closed, all faculty, staff, and administrators remain accessible via email. See our Campus Directory at https://www.uog.edu/directory/.
